CASE STUDY

We have just helped a customer to secure a £21k County Court Judgement for poor standard / incomplete work at their property.

Mrs X called BuildPerception in December 2023 to raise their concerns about their builder
BuildPerception attended the property and inspected the work
A subsequent report detailing remedial actions was submitted to the builder for rectification
The builder failed to act upon this request
The builder was given "Notice to complete"
Again the builder failed to act upon this request
The builders services was subsequently terminated
A new builder was appointed to complete the works
Once all was complete, BuildPerception assessed the costs and invoices paid to the initial builder by Mrs X.
BuildPerception issued a formal request to the builder for a refund.
This request was ignored
A claim was submitted to the courts for £21k in August 2024
In November 2024, the courts subsequently issued a Judgement against the builder and ordered the company to pay Mrs X just over £21,000.00.

How much does all of this cost?

Mrs X paid BuildPerception £840.00 (this was paid in stages as we progressed) and although this had to be paid by Mrs X before the Judgement was issued, these costs were included within the judgement, meaning that ultimately, the Rogue Trader paid for our services.
